Location & Parking

Designed to evoke the feel of a grand hotel from days gone by, the O. Henry Hotel opened in 1998. Adjacent to the Shops at Friendly Center, the hotel is within walking distance of a 16-screen movie theater, Whole Foods, Belk's department store and multiple shops and restaurants. There's an artist-in-residence who creates custom paintings and the Gift of the Magi story adorns the ceiling of the hotel in honor of the hotel's namesake, short story writer William Sydney Porter, known as O. Henry.

Guest Rooms

The traditionally decorated guest rooms offer a variety of amenities including custom Magi Beds, sitting areas and desks with ergonomic chairs. There are armoires in all rooms with flat-screen TVs, microwaves and minifridges. Guest rooms have separate bath and dressing rooms with granite vanities, built-in luggage racks and drawers.

Dining

The hotel’s Green Valley Grill combines Mediterranean flavors with European traditions and locally sourced seasonal foods to offer an elegant yet comfortable dining experience. The restaurant has three dining areas: the Main Dining Room, decorated in a Tuscan Revival style, the Copper Dining Room with copper walls and floor-to-ceiling windows, and the Bar, featuring a curved granite bar and brick walls.

Business

The O. Henry Hotel offers more than 6,000 square feet of event space for business meetings and gatherings. There are on-site planning professionals available to assist with catering, room setup and event customization.
